How can we help?
The apps are made by Imran, one independent developer, and every email is read and answered by that same person. Most questions are answered below.
Email us
Tell us which app, what phone you have, and what happened. A screenshot helps.
Purchases
I paid but the app still shows the free version.
Open the app's upgrade screen and tap Restore. Make sure the phone is signed in to the same Google account you paid with and is online for a moment. If that doesn't fix it, email us with the order number from your Google Play receipt (it starts with GPA).
How do I cancel a subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by Google Play: open Google Play subscriptions, pick the app and tap Cancel. You keep access until the end of the period you've paid for. One-time purchases and the 6-month exam passes never renew, so there is nothing to cancel.
Can I get a refund?
Payments are handled by Google Play, so refunds are too. Start with Google Play's refund page. If you have trouble, email us and we'll help.
I got a new phone. Do I need to pay again?
No. Install the app on the new phone with the same Google account and tap Restore on the upgrade screen. Your progress can come back through your phone's own Google backup; in Ascend, signing in to its optional backup brings your progress with you.
Your data
What do the apps collect?
Very little. Your practice and progress stay on your phone. There are no ads and no account is needed, unless you choose to sign in to Ascend for its leaderboard, backup or sentence mining. Each app's privacy policy explains exactly what is sent and why, in plain words. The links are at the bottom of this page.
How do I delete my data?
For the math apps, follow the steps on the math apps data deletion page. For Ascend, use the Ascend account deletion page. Uninstalling an app removes what it stored on your phone, but a copy may remain in your own Google backup, and anonymous usage counts are only removed through the deletion pages above.
Is SolveTrail safe for my child?
Yes. It has no ads, no chat, no leaderboard and never asks for a name, email or photo. Read more on the SolveTrail page.
Using the apps
Do the apps work offline?
Yes. Lessons and practice work with no signal. They only go online to check, buy or restore purchases, for anonymous usage counts you can switch off in Settings, and, in Ascend only, for the optional sign-in, leaderboard, backup and sentence mining.
I found a mistake in a question.
Thank you! Email us the app name and the question (a screenshot is perfect). Every answer is checked, but we fix anything you find quickly.
Is there an iPhone version?
Not yet. For now the apps are for Android phones and tablets, through Google Play.
